Counter Strike New Revealed
Valve finally revealed Counter Strike New after weeks of speculation. It's an update to CS:GO that will put the game on the Source 2 engine and make some major visual changes.
It also introduces the ability to use smoke grenades that respond and sub-tick updates for servers. It's made many armchair gamers scream but it's actually an upgrade for the average player.
Smokes
Counter Strike New is getting an update that will completely change the smoking system used in the game. These changes, dubbed responsive smokes, are an important game changer. Smokes will now expand to fill in spaces naturally and move around objects on the map. They will also respond to the lighting of the games, making them look more realistic. In addition to these new features, smokes are now be able to interact with events in the game, which will open up new tactical opportunities. Bullets, for example, will cause smoke to be pushed to temporarily clear sightlines. Hex grenade blasts will also disperse smoke obstruction.
The most significant change to smokes is that they'll be a more dynamic part of the game. Smokes in previous versions were a fixed form that was limited in terms of how far they could be pushed and the amount of vision it blocked. But, the new smokes will now grow to take up the space they're in and will hinder the player's vision when they are within the area. This is a major upgrade that will make the game dynamic and give both sides the same view.
In addition, smokes will now react to the surroundings weapons, lighting, and environment in the world space. This makes the smoke appear more realistic and allow players to use it in a variety of ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is particularly useful in the chaotic matches that are expected to occur on every map.
Smokes won't be one-way that was a major issue in CSGO and allowed players to see their opponent's location behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO professional who says the new system makes CS2 more fair for both teams.
Other minor improvements include changing the vertical position of smoke particles to reduce the impact of edges, and updating viewers' smoke overlay images so that they correspond to their camera position. The expiration of smokes was updated to match the visuals on screen.
Loadouts
The players of CS:GO are able to customize their weapon choice before the start of every game. The new loadout system allows players to select the weapons that best fit their style of play and team strategy. The updated system adds new depth to the game because players must balance firepower and utility.
The CS: GO Update includes numerous other enhancements and changes in addition to the new loadouts. Most importantly, the buy menu has been completely revamped. The old buy wheel has been replaced with an adjustable grid that displays all options for purchase simultaneously. The grid is populated with five pistols and five "mid-tier weapons" like submachine guns, shotguns and rifles.
The new system is easy to use, and give players greater control over their weapon selection. It will let them select the weapon that best suits their playstyle and team strategy the best, aswell as experiment with different combinations. They can also compare their loadouts against other players to see how well they stack up.
While many players appreciate the added flexibility, others have criticized it for deviating from the essence of Counter-Strike. There have been concerns about how it could impact map-specific loadouts and skins of agents dependent on visibility.
In spite of these criticisms the new loadout system will be tested in greater detail in the coming months. Some of these issues might be addressed in future updates. It is crucial to keep up-to-date for more information.
In addition to the brand new CS: GO features, the latest update also includes Workshop Tools which can be enabled in the game's settings menu. They allow community contributors to create weapons' finishes, stickers and maps. In addition the update will live ban players who violate VAC guidelines during matches.
The new CS: GO update is set to launch later in the summer. Players can look over the complete list of features and updates by visiting the official CS: GO website.
Sub-Tick Updates
The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in discrete intervals of time known as ticks. Valve is determined to ensure that CS: GO is responsive and smooth. Even the tiniest delay can impact the accuracy of an attack. A new video reveals one of the biggest under-the-hood improvements, known as sub-tick updates.
Instead of an update of 64 ticks every millisecond, CS: GO will now be able utilize sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. Each of these small increments of time will be recorded by the client and transmitted to the server, which will transmit the updated game state back to players. The servers will know exactly when you shot or jumped, or swung, or pounced.
The video doesn't provide all the information. However, it does explain that each piece of data sent by the client has a date and time and that the server collects all the data in chronological order from all players prior to sending it back. According to case opening , a CS: GO will be capable of sending twice the data than a 64-tick CS: GO.
This means that even when the tick rate of the game is increased to 128 Hz, the game will still be able to handle your commands immediately. It's not only about increasing the tick rate either; the micro-tick updates will also reduce latency and input lag by guaranteeing that the server is responding to your actions without delays or glitches.

Valve's technical enhancements to the game are just the beginning. The company is implementing dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve the way smoke interacts with the environment and is upgrading all of the maps with high-resolution lighting, textures, and models. All CS: GO weapons and cosmetics will also get a makeover using Source 2 tools and features.
Maps
The coming update for Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game, alongside a few classics that are getting facelifts. The updates are being tested in limited beta. The first set of maps comprises touchstone and upgrade maps that won't see major changes to gameplay, while others have been fully revamped or rebuilt using the latest Source 2 tools.
Overpass is one of these maps that has been revamped to take advantage the new engine's unified lighting system. The map's eerie underground has been filled with daylight, making it more spacious and less overcrowded. Smoke grenades now expand dynamically to fill spaces and interact with the light.
Italy is another map that has been revamped. Its lighting, texture and structure have all been significantly improved. The new version is more balanced than the predecessor that was heavily CT-oriented. Fans can expect a few more classics, like Aztec and Militia to be updated in the near future.
These maps won't be added to the map pool for competitive play despite the fact that they are still playable. Train is the only exception since it was removed from Active Duty but will still be played in tournaments. Valve has not yet confirmed if the other maps removed from the pool will be added back.
Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. Its update has been criticized as controversial. The newspaper has been vocal in its criticism of Russia's actions in Ukraine and the map takes inspiration from the city devastated by war, Donetsk. The map is called de_voyna and contains numerous references to the conflict.
The developer will release a collection of Source 2 Tools for map makers in the future. This will include features like improved lighting and reading of characters, as well as physical-based rendering systems that produces realistic textures and materials. It will also make real-world objects, such as doors and windows, simpler to implement. The update is set to be released sometime in the summer.
